Hizbullah and Islamic Work Front condemn boycott of Arab Summit
Source: NowLebanon, 28-03-2008
Hizbullah and the Islamic Work Front's joint political committee condemned the government's decision to boycott the Arab Summit in Damascus this weekend.
It also denounced in a statement US pressure on the Lebanese ruling majority to prevent the country from attending the summit, and the majority's compliance with American demands.
"We hope that the Damascus Summit is the summit of inter-Arab reconciliation, which leads to Arab solidarity and immunity," the statement, released after the committee's regular meeting, said.
It also stressed on the need to put additional pressure on all parties to ensure the implementation of the Arab initiative as a solution to the Lebanese crisis.
