GAZA CITY--Five Palestinians were martyred on Wednesday in "Israeli" occupying regime's attacks in the Gaza Strip, medics said.
Muawiya Hassanein, the head of Gaza emergency services, said three Palestinians were killed during clashes with the Zionist regime's troops east of the northern town and refugee camp of Jabaliya.
Witnesses said two of the men were fighters from the Islamic resistance movement.
The "Israeli" occupying regime confirmed the killings, saying its troops targeted Palestinians near the fence that surrounds the Gaza Strip.
Two Hamas fighters were killed in an air strike near the southern town of Khan Yunis, medics said.
Earlier the Zionist regime confirmed that two air strikes were carried out against Palestinians in southern Gaza.
The deadly fighting took place as Bush landed on his second trip to the occupied territories this year.
The Zionist regime frequently raids the Gaza Strip and kills Palestinians.
Palestinian activists also stage retaliatory attacks against the "Israeli" aggressions by firing rockets into southern parts of the occupied territories.
In the past weeks the resistance fighters killed two settlers in the occupied areas.
