The violation of Lebanese airspace by "Israeli" planes over the past two days was a clear breach of UN Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1701, United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) spokesperson Yasmina Bouziane said on Friday.
Bouziane pointed out that UNIFIL had asked "Israel" to end its violations through complaints it had filed.
"Rumors around the town of Ghajar are only media reports and media statements," she continued. "We are an international force and we do not have any information on this subject, and as you know the international forces have worked to reach a solution for Ghajar since 2006," Bouziane said in reference to a divided border village.
UNSCR 1701 was passed unanimously at the UN Security Council in the summer of 2006 to end a 34-day war between Hizbullah and "Israel", fought on Lebanese territories.
