Member of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Hasan Fadlallah said on Thursday the Resistance has the capacity and the capabilities to face "Israel".
In response to "Israel's" assertion that Hizbullah has anti-aircraft missiles, he said that this was an issue that concerned only the Resistance.
Fadlallah told the Kuwaiti daily Al-Rai (in an interview to be published Friday) that Hizbullah will participate in the roundtable dialogue under President Michel Sleiman with openness, and will discuss the defense strategy as well as many other internal issues; no topic will be excluded.
He added that Hizbullah applied its vision of the defense strategy through liberating the territories in 2000, defending Lebanon during July War and in the operation Al-Redwan. But, he said, "we are ready to listen to other parties and to apply the strategy we agree upon during the dialogue."
Fadlallah also said that the next phase was to prepare for the 2009 election, noting that all parties had started a new page after the Doha Agreement.
He affirmed that the meeting between Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nassrallah and the head of the Future movement is no longer being held up, but he added that it had to be carefully prepared and organized.
The Hizbullah MP stressed that the Quadripartite Alliance will not exist in the 2009 elections because reaching reconciliation with any party does not necessary lead to a political or electoral alliance.
In response to what Head of the Lebanese forces (LF) Executive Council Samir Geagea has said concerning the Christian's majority, Fadlallah answered that MP Michel Aoun has achieved on the Christian level what others could not achieve at least since the Taif Agreement, such as the electoral law and the government‘s partnership.
He concluded that Lebanese people have to wait for the elections to define the Christian's majority because some parties' predictions were proved to be inefficient.
