Sheikh Qassem: Defense strategy should define the responsibilities of various Lebanese forces in confronting "Israel"

Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem hailed "any positive move aimed at stopping incitement and tensions," saying that Tripoli's visit was a good step "that we back."

Speaking during an Iftar (fast breaking), Sheikh Qassem stressed that Hizbullah will not be in the position of the accused during the national dialogue roundtable, noting that it wasn't possible to think that the defense strategy would embarrass the resistance party. "At the opposite, it will embarrass the other parties that criticize a lot," recalling that Hizbullah has always been fighting the enemy.

Sheikh Qassem advised the so-called "March 14" forces to take their time in preparing their answers to the questions that would be raised during the dialogue sessions. "The defense strategy should define the responsibilities of the various Lebanese forces in confronting ‘Israel'," his eminence said, adding that Hizbullah is yearning to know the roles that "some" would assume in confronting the ‘Israeli' scheme.
