Speaker Nabih Berri said that the national defense strategy, which is to be discussed during the national dialogue roundtable starting on September 16, includes the issue of defending Lebanon and protecting it on the military, security, political, media, and diplomatic levels. During the dialogue, Berri also noted, the role of the Resistance and the Lebanese army will also be discussed.
In an interview with As-Safir newspaper on Wednesday, Berri also said that he had prepared a detailed study concerning the topic of national defense, adding that he did not mind adding extra topics to the dialogue's agenda if all participants agreed.
