Berri: Lebanese people need the national dialogue to be successful

Speaker Nabih Berri told As-Safir newspaper on Saturday that he was "relieved" about the preparations for the upcoming national dialogue roundtable, which will begin on September 16.
Berri said that the people of Lebanon needed the dialogue to be successful, in order to create a climate of confidence and trust among Lebanese parties.
He said that he was optimistic about the national dialogue, despite differences in opinion, and confirmed that preserving civil peace and stability was a priority.
Berri added that the assassination of Sheikh Saleh Aridi on Wednesday was very dangerous.
