Moussawi: Hizbullah will bring its successful experience to the national dialogue
Source: nowlebanon.com, 14-09-2008
Hizbullah Director for Foreign Relations Nawwaf al-Moussawi said that the Resistance would attend the national dialogue roundtable "carrying with it its successful experience in liberation, defense, development, and the preservation of an honorable situation for the population." He added that it was strange for others think differently on this matter.
During an Iftar celebration in the southern city of Al-Khiam, Moussawi said that the perfect model would be a strong and fair state that supports its population, army, and the Resistance in confronting ‘Israel', rather than creating a model of integration, a reference to calls for integrating Hizbullah into state institutions.
Moussawi said that they are in a position where they can ask the other participants in the national dialogue about their positions and experiences. "We would just be asking, rather than accusing them," he said.
Moussawi said Hizbullah wants a fair and strong state for all its citizens, and that the majority must determine its own position in Lebanon.
