Ghaleb Abu Zeinab, a member of Hizbullah's political bureau, said on Monday that some people were instigating problems, even though the general political atmosphere was positive atmospheres, and the reconciliation process was well on its way.

After meeting with Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun in Rabieh, Zeinab said that he was surprised by the way some politicians and the media were treating the issue of the old church in Lassa. He said they were trying to spread sedition and exploit the church issue for political reasons.

"We handed over the keys of the old church to MP Aoun and he knows how to solve the issue," he said.

He also said that some parties aimed to attack the Free Patriotic Movement and Hizbullah, and in doing so were threatening Lebanon's stability.

Zeinab said that the residents of Jbeil would reject any attempt to divide them. He added that those who tried planted grenades next to the church last week would not be present in Jbeil after the parliamentary elections in 2009.
