Moussawi: Hizbullah΄s disarmament is simply catering to the interests of "Israel"

Hizbullah International Affairs spokesman Nawwaf Moussawi said that the national dialogue must address the issue of confronting "Israel", and, to that end, enabling the army and the Resistance to perform their military duties.
After meeting with a delegation from a Palestinian group called "Remember Sabra and Shatila," Moussawi said that the Lebanese will not accept that imposition of American or European agendas on the national dialogue. "This agenda has one article: disarming Hizbullah. We will reject it and we will only discuss how to build a strong state, which supports its population and army in confronting "Israeli" attacks," Moussawi said.
Moussawi said that any discussion of Hizbullah's disarmament was simply catering to the interests of "Israel". The reason, he said, was because only Hizbullah's weapons were capable of defeating "Israel". He added that Hizbullah, at present, approached the national defense strategy in the same manner it had in the past.
Moussawi said that the people of Lebanon had learned from the experiences of the Palestinians, and understood that the international community would not support them, nor would international resolutions help them reclaim occupied lands. "The big states will support "Israel" in any attack on Lebanon, this is why the Lebanese resorted to armed resistance," Moussawi said.
