Moussawi: Recent security disturbances were the work of Majority
Source: Nowlebanon.com, 19-9-2008
Hizbullah International Affairs spokesman Nawwaf Moussawi said that said recent security disturbances were the work of the majority, which wanted to sow dissention to preserve their power, even if it led to civil war.
During an Iftar in the southern village of Hanawai on Friday, Moussawi said that reconciliation was the only way to avoid strife, and he called for a new kind of "political life that restricts political disputes to constitutional institutions."
Moussawi said that Hizbullah's insistence that the number of participants in the national dialogue be increased was not because they wanted more allies in the dialogue, but because "there are figures of national importance who have played central roles in the resistance and who must be present at the table."
Moussawi called for the national dialogue to define defense strategy, but warned that no one should have any illusions about limiting Hizbullah's potential.
