Hizbullah delegation meets with Franjieh, calls Geagea΄s apology an attempt to avoid reconciliation

Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Mohammad Raad responded to Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea's speech on Sunday, in which the LF leader said that some wanted to replace the slogan "Lebanon is always right with Hizbullah and Syria are always right," by saying that Hizbullah would always remain patriotic and support the national interest.
After meeting with Marada Movement leader Suleiman Franjieh in Bnachii on Monday, Raad said that a strong state does not hand over its weapons and empower the enemy. Raad said that Geagea's apology for LF abuses committed during the Civil War in his speech on Sunday was an attempt to avoid reconciliation.
Raad said the point of reconciliation was to complement dialogue with responsibility, and to objectivity reach a common conviction.
Franjieh, for his part, said that every patriotic citizen should support the Resistance in its efforts to liberate all occupied areas. Franjieh also said that parliamentary elections would define who really represented the Christians.
