The ongoing investigation into the Bsarma Crime has established that the two victims, Pierre Ishaq and Youssef Franjieh, were killed by the same weapon.
The pan-Arab daily al-Hayat reported that Franjieh was hit with one bullet that was fatal, while Ishaq had five bullet wounds in his body.
Examining Magistrate Jean Fahd awaits coroner reports and laboratory results to proceed with the investigation, the report added without further elaboration.
On Wednesday September 17, the Marada party of former Minister Suleiman Franjieh said that one of its officials, Yussuf Franjieh, "was assassinated Wednesday at dawn in a premeditated attack carried out by Lebanese Forces in Bsarma."
Youssef Franjieh is a resident from Ehden who appeared on a documentary two months ago about the notorious Ehden massacre in the late 70's that killed Suleiman Franjieh's father, mother and 3-year-old sister along with dozens of Ehden residents. Youssef Franjieh said that when the Lebanese Forces launched the attack against the town and committed the massacre he personally shot and hit Samir Geagea who was leading the group that carried out the heinous killings.
In a press conference by the head of the Marada party said that the Lebanese army and the judiciary as well as security services are investigating the incident "and we are committed to a transparent result." The former minister said he will give the investigation between 15 days and a month to come up with a conclusion.
