Moussawi: Abandonment of Palestinians equates with the imposition of resettlement in Lebanon
26-12-2008
Hizbullah's international relations official, Nawwaf Moussawi, has said the abandonment of the Palestinian people meant a waste of Lebanese interests and the imposition of resettlement in Lebanon.
Neglecting the Palestinian cause, Moussawi said during a memorial service in South Lebanon on Friday, was equivalent to giving "Israel" the opportunity to renew its ambitions "of greed for water and land."
The Hizbullah official said Gaza today was equivalent to the July War, during which "US-‘Israeli'-backed Arab regimes aimed at eliminating the Palestinian Resistance."
And on internal Lebanese matters, Moussawi said that "the coup against consensus in the parliament on the Constitutional Council was a precedent after the Doha Agreement that will not be repeated."
The opposition, he added, would prevent the numerical majority from "putting their hands on the Constitutional Council, because the council should be trusted with the soundness of the elections and the constitutionality of laws."
