Sayyed Nasrallah: Victory was tribute to God`s blessing

Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said Saturday that the movement`s victory in the last summer war against the Zionist regime was a tribute to the God`s blessing as well as the perseverance of Hizbullah combatants and the Lebanese people. "Thank to the steadfastness of the combatants, the Zionist enemy was surprisingly forced to change its operation plans 12 times," his eminence said in an interview with Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB). Asked about the spirit of the forces at present, Sayyed Nasrallah said that the position of the Resistance has improved among the Lebanese people and concerning material and military conditions the movement stands mightier than at the previous war.
When asked about a special supplication to God, called Al-Jawshan Al-Saghir (the small shield) which reportedly had been practiced by the combatants every night during the 33-day war with the Zionist regime, the Hizbullah Secretary General confirmed that he was only an emissary of the practice and that the real source of recommendation for the spiritual practice had been the IR Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
Asked about the future of the Zionist regime, Sayyed Nasrallah described last summer`s "Israeli" defeat as a strategic defeat for the regime which carries historical implications. "The Zionist regime is an artificial state whose mainstay is its army. Whenever the "Israeli" army shakes, the whole regime shakes."
Sayyed Nasrallah reminded that "Israel" has been at war with Lebanon since its formation in 1948, adding that the Lebanese have always been on alert to put out any aggression.
"What took place in Lebanon presented another culture to the world of Islam whose main platform is that `we can stand on our own and resist`. The culture developed thank to the blessed 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran," Sayyed Nasrallah said, adding that the culture would help the Islamic world to counter the US and "Israel`s" ploys. On the Lebanese political situation the Hizbullah chief said that the US has blocked the effort of the majority of the Lebanese parties to establish a national unity government.
Speaking about occupied Palestine, Sayyed Nasrallah cautioned that "Israel" and the US are after stirring frustration among the Palestinian people. "The enemy makes attempts to frustrate the Palestinian nation. Whatever the difficulties, we must raise high spirit in ourselves," he added. "Negotiations will bear no fruit like in past and all the promises made by America are only to kill time and will be of no use for the Palestinian nation," his eminence warned. The Hizbullah SG dismissed the recent lavish arms sales by the US to a few Middle East countries as part of a malicious project.
