Eighty year old latest victim of cluster bomb explosion

The series of cluster bomb explosions continiues in Southern Lebanon as a cluster bomb explosion took place during the Eid Al Adha vaccation and ruined the holidays for the Hamoud family in Southern Lebanon.

Salim Nimir Hamoud of Yohmor village in his eighth decade went as usaul to his field to plant when his shovel hit a bomb as he was cultivating his land. The cluster bomb exploded and caused serious injury to his arm, chest and abdomen.
Accordinng to Dr. Ahmad Mshawrab, Hamoud's injuries are severe. 

 Not only the explosion caused a serious injury to an elderly -civilian- but also messed up the celebrations of a family as they had to spend the feast in the hospital waiting for Hamoud to finish his operation.

One of the familiy members, Ahmad Jaber, questioned who is responsible of the safety of civilians and the farmers whose land cultivation is the source of living, wondering despite the strenuous efforts to clear the land, if there is anybody in this government in charge of the safety and well being of the people as they await an end to this series of deadly clusters laying beneath the soil of the lands.

Until today, 4 million Lebanese citizens present in a country whose land holds within its folds 4 million cluster bombs... one for every man, woman, and child.
