In appreciation of Hajj Imad Moghnieh's efforts to liberate the land and people of Lebanon, and to honor his martyrdom, the union of Southern Suburb Municipalities named one of its avenues after the martyred resistance leader.

The street, now named Imad Moghnieh Avenue, connects Haret Horeik with Airport Boulevard.

The Southern Suburb Municipalities Union inaugurated the street yesterday February the 17th with the auspices of head of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP Mohammad Raad. The inauguration celebration was attended by the SSMU mayors and a number of officials from the area.
