Qaouk Meets Chomsky: Flow of US Strategic Weaponry to “Israel” is Source of Danger
Local Editor
Hizbullah Official in South Lebanon, Sheikh Nabil Qaouk received the American intellect Noam Chomsky in his office on Friday in Tyre, South Lebanon.
Sheikh Qaouk reviewed with Chomsky various topics on the local as well as international levels, where Chomsky stated that the United States gave green light to all the "Israeli" aggressions on Lebanon during the past phase; however, the 2006 July war was merely an American decision.
Chomsky considered that the US policy in the Middle East has not changed, highlighting that the growing ability of the Christian Zionism and the Zionist Lobby to affect the US decision constitutes a source of concern and leaves negative repercussions on the US whether on the inside or the outside.
On his part, Sheikh Qaouk assured that the flow of US strategic weaponry to "Israel" is the source of danger, and that the ongoing "Israeli" threats increases tension in Lebanon and the region.
Sheikh Qaouk added "The US role in Lebanon is embodied in the indefinite adoption of "Israeli" goals which impedes stability of Lebanon and the unity of its people" highlighting that the timing of the "Israeli" drill is no coincidence (as it coincides with the municipal and mayor elections in the South) and that such timing holds within its folds intentions of an "Israeli" aggression.
Qaouk assured "Thousands of our fighters will stay alert ahead of the "Israeli" maneuver that begins on Sunday."
Chomsky, who went on a tour to the Southern villages of Khiam, Bint Jbeil, and Maroun El Ras, listened during the tour to stories of confrontations that took place between the resistance fighters and the "Israeli" enemy in the July war 2006.
