Bekaa Hizbullah official Mohammad Yaghi considered the year 2000 as the changing point in history of the Arab-"Israeli" struggle, because this victory was not a product of governments or of classic wars between two states, but it is the product of the resistance in all its forms; it is the product of great efforts, and of pure and sacred blood.

He added, "Our people proved that with their faith, capabilities, and modest potentials, they are able to defeat the "Israeli" enemy, and drive its forces out of this generous land".
Yaghi's statement came in a ceremony held by Hizbullah's Educational Mobilization in Bekaa, marking the 10th anniversary of resistance and liberation.

He said, "The enemy was forced out of our land with frustration and shame, and they did not leave due to a treaty or an agreement like that of May 17".

"However, people annulled this treaty of shame and humiliation, and produced instead, with help of the resistance, victory. In July 2006, the resistance, with the help of these generous people, was able to stand firmly for 33 days, achieve victory, and defeat the enemy once again", Yaghi added.

Yaghi pointed out that "Today, we in the resistance are all set and ready, and have the right to possess weapons. If this enemy has nuclear warheads, we have the right to protect our land. We tell the enemy, whatever you do, we will be prepared to confront".

Hizbullah official also thanked Lebanese PM Saad Hariri for announcing 25 May as a national holiday.

Yaghi concluded, "We are looking forward, through the government and the elected municipal councils to achieve and accomplish projects that would progress, flourish, and develop our Lebanese towns and villages."
