PM Hariri: Any Delay of Palestinian Right to Return Causes Appearing Extremists
Local Editor
After receiving Deputy German Chancellor Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle, Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri said that talks revolved around settlement process and indirect negotiations between Palestinians and "Israelis", in addition to the steps ought to be taken by the international community in the guidance of the European Union.
PM Hariri referred that it was time to the world to realize that any delay in achieving a settlement in the region, and any delay in allowing Palestinians the right to return to their country and capital Al Quds (Jerusalem), would surly make it easier for extremists to appear, claiming that diplomacy is a waste of time.
On his behalf, Minister Westerwelle said, "Germany is a friend of Lebanon, and has many interests in the current development in Lebanon, especially over its stability". He added, "As you know, the development towards peace and stability in Lebanon also means peace and stability in the region and in the world".
Lebanon and Germany have enjoyed friendly relations, throughout many high-level and top-level visits and delegations between both countries.
