Speaker Berri: May 23 a Turning Point of Democracy VS “Israeli” “Turning Point 4” Maneuver
Local Editor
Lebanese Speaker of Parliament, President Nabih Berri, thanked all Lebanese, especially the people of the south who proved to be of high national responsibility for all merits, especially municipality elections' merits.
President Berri greeted all candidates, in all villages, especially those on border lines with the occupied territories. Berri referred that these candidates have made of May 23 a turning point in the path of democracy in Lebanon, through confronting "Israeli" "Turning Point 4" maneuver, which aims at distracting Lebanon's stability and co-existence, and confusing Lebanese in their choice of standing with the resistance and supporting it.
On an official level, Speaker Berri thanked the Ministry of Interior and that of Defense, in addition to all commanders, army troops, and different security forces who supervised the elections. Berri also thanked media and civil public opinion institutions for following up with the elections.
Speaker of Parliament finalized his statement saying, "On the eve of the Resistance and Liberation day, our promise to the south and to Lebanon is as Sayyed Moussa Al Sader promised, which is to keep Lebanon in its heart, in the south".
