Larijani: Military Intervention of Region’s Rulers in Bahrain as Ordered by US Will Cost Them

Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said on Tuesday that sending military forcese fromt he US as well as some regional countries to Bahrain will lead them to face the rage of the Bahraini people, warning that their intervention in Bahrain as ordered by the US will cost them.

In his speech at Parliament's open session, Larijani said "The US and West's real behaviors were made public during recent developments in the region, the US Defense Secretary's trip to Bahrain and dual-track positions taken by European states."

He said the words of the US Defense Secretary, Robert Gates show the country's deep concerns over regional revolutions.

Larijani referred to the recent concerns raised by the US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Islamic Revolution and said, "After her comments, some Persian Gulf states said they will support Bahraini ruling party through sending troops. It is crystal clear that the aggressive measure was formed due to the US support."

"Regional nations have the right to declare that the US is responsible for any violence and killing," he noted.
