Bahraini Regime-Appointed Probe Closes Office after Popular Outrage

After the Bahraini regime-appointed probe into investigating the rights abuses in Bahrain said it would issue reports in which it "cleared regime officials of wrongdoing", protesters mobbed the probe's office leading to its closure.
The majority of the anti-regime protesters were infuriated by comments made by head of the panel Professor Cherif Bassiouni, who praised earlier the cooperation of the Interior Minister and saying he "could see no policy of excessive use of force or torture".
The panel issued a statement after the closure of its office indicating that hundreds of people forced their way into the office, after they were angered over what they heard of the panel's conclusions regarding the investigations.
Furthermore, the Bahraini pro-democracy protesters' outrage was erupted due to a statement issued by the official Bahrain News Agency, where it reported on Monday that the commission into investigating human rights violations believed that no such violations or crimes had been committed.
