MP Fadlallah: Bet on Syrian Regime’s Collapse a “Losing Bet”

Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP Hassan Fadlallah confirmed that the decisive and determined position of the "axis of resistance", through refusing any foreign interference and war against Syria, was able to change schemes targeting it.
He added that this position was able to transform foreign threats that suggested the approach of war, into an oscillating international position which has retreated all its threats against Syria.
In this context, Fadlallah expressed hope that Syria would escape its crisis, excluding any "possible military war, and any western-NATO-regional attempt to launch war or assaults like what happened in Libya".
Fadlallah indicated that the Syrian "situation, circumstances and balance of power is different", in comparison to Libya.
Moreover, he strictly refused Lebanon to be a battlefield of conspiracy or interference in the Syrian internal affairs, indicating that "current attempts to push Lebanon in this crisis by some forces in Lebanon, merely harms the interests of the country, its role, and position".
"This would only benefit incitement and destabilization of Syria, and would sow discord among its people", Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP further added.
Also, he believed that the crisis in Syria should be tackled through dialogue between the Syrian leaderships and the opposition, in a way that maintains Syria's security, stability, and immunity.
Furthermore, MP Fadlallah iterated that those who previously wagered on foreign changes and the July War results, and lost their wagers, are now wagering on the collapse of the Syrian regime, thinking that if this is achieved, they would be able to restore their domination and control on the government's decisions.
Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP reaffirmed that this bet is "a losing bet", for the internal equation in Lebanon was established primarily on internal power balance, and couldn't be changed even by the US or the west since 2005.
On the internal level, Fadlallah stressed that the inciting political rhetoric and sectarian conflicts are a dangerous weapon, and those using it today in Lebanon could be the most harmed by it.
He further indicated, "We in Hizbullah are dealing wisely and decisively in this regard. Wisely because we do not see any interest in escalating the internal rhetoric, and we consider that inciting sectarian strife harms everyone; and firmly through hanging on to our essentials, choices and resistance, no matter what the rhetoric of challenges were".
