Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour confirmed that the revealed information about the US's Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) operations in Lebanon represent a shock for the Lebanese government and people. He also added that the aforementioned represents a violation of Lebanon's sovereignty and national security.

In an interview with An-Nour Radio station, Minister Mansour referred to summoning the US Ambassador to Lebanon Maura Connelly, stressing, "There is no difference between summoning, holding accountable, or asking for clarification from the US Ambassador. The importance is to examine what was published and the truth about what has been revealed".

"Lebanon should therefore present its point of view because this issue is really dangerous and violates the Lebanese national security and sovereignty", Minister Mansour stated in this regard.
Concerning the Arab Foreign Ministries' meeting in Cairo on Thursday, Minister Mansour indicated that the nature of this meeting hasn't been clear yet, adding, "We should wait a few hours to know what decisions the Arab League would adopt".

Moreover, he noted, "The meeting would revolve around the protocol and its amendments, or discussions over escalating steps".
Reaffirming that Lebanon will not approve any sanctions against Syria, Minister Mansour iterated that "Lebanon shares with Syria an economic, humane, and security privacy". He also added that any step representing a threat on the unity and security of Syria is unacceptable, because it only increases the complication of the crisis and does not end it.

He also stressed on the importance of helping Syria out of its crisis, and to maintain its unity and national security.
