Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem received head of the Arab Unification (Tawhid) party, former Minister Wiam Wahhab, in presence of Hizbullah political council member Mahmoud Qoumati.

During the meeting both parties discussed the latest developments on the local, regional, and international arenas, and tackled in precise the government, Syrian crisis, and the US withdrawal from Iraq.
After the meeting, Wahhab indicated that "as long as the spirit returned to the governmental work, it is then very important to agree on the appointments [...] and many livelihood and social files should be tackled".

Regarding the recent visit to Lebanon by the US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman, head of the Arab Unification party noted, "I hope that the Foreign Ministry, with our trust in the Minister [Adnan Mansour], would examine all his [Feltman] discussions, because this man only carries along conflict with him, and we refuse to have Lebanon part of the siege imposed on Syria".

Also, Wahhab concluded that "for some time, we were saying that the Syrian opposition could have some rightful demands, but apparently [Syrian opposition Leader Burhan] Ghalyoun proved he is a product of the US, west, and "Israel"." On this level Wahhab clarified that Ghalyoun has disowned the axis of resistance.

"Therefore I believe that this scheme can be applied only in his "room in Paris", but will not have a place in Syria or in this nation," former Minister Wahhab went on to say, with reference to Ghalyoun.
