Arriving in Armenia, Lebanese President Michel Suleiman was received by a reception ceremony organized by the Lebanese community in the country.
In a speech he delivered at the reception, President Suleiman expressed his pleasure that the first meeting for him in Armenia was with the Lebanese community, further praising superb relations between both countries' nations.

Tackling political issues, President Suleiman believed that "the developments occurring in the Arab world and Syria require our concern concerning the future of stability in those countries, and the felicity of the people without any interference in their internal affairs.

On this level, the Lebanese President hoped that these developments would go towards "reform and democracy that are open to modernization, in a way that would maintain human rights and freedoms away from violence".
"Either ways, we are working with Armenia and peace-loving countries to restore efforts aiming at achieving a just and permanent peace in the Middle East, that would protect the Arab and Palestinian rights, away from any sign of nationalization", Suleiman affirmed.

Moreover, he confirmed that Lebanon, which was able to maintain its security and financial stability through its democratic system, and through the wisdom of the banking sector's managers, is now preparing for more reforms through approving a new electoral law and other decrees that would serve the service and livelihood sectors.
"There are hopes to invest within the upcoming years, in the gas and oil resources which were discovered in the Lebanese maritime areas", President Suleiman iterated, further indicating that the drillings will begin soon.

On another hand, President Suleiman stressed, "We will continue to call for the adoption of dialogue, work on applying the decisions of the national dialogue conference, and impose our democratic performance. He went on to say that Lebanon would certainly refer to the legitimate institutions to resolve any urgent error.

Also, President Suleiman noted, "We should continue our efforts to enhance our national and resistance abilities and unite them against any threat or aggression. We should further pressure the "Israeli" enemy to implement resolution 1701 with all its articles. We should also return Lebanon's sovereignty to our territories, and only the Lebanese military troops should be able to control the boundaries of the country".

Lebanese President reaffirmed that Lebanon will not hesitate to work with international authorities to compel "Israel" to compensate for what its aggressive acts and wars caused of killing, destruction and harm.
