Rokenabadi : Situation Better In Syria, US Attacks Serious, Threat Int’l Peace
Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghadanfar Rokenabadi stressed that the US dropped spy drone in Iran is greatly complicated and of high technology noting that the Iranian techniques are more developed than US ones."
"With all the techniques that we have, we were able to trap this plane without affecting it," the Iranian ambassador asserted adding that "as the drone is under the Iranian control, we consider these acts of provocation a continuous act of aggression."
After meeting the Lebanese House speaker Nabih Berri, he confirmed that "these attacks constitute a very serious initiative on regional and international peace."
"The Americans are trying to preserve the military presence in the region and this is a very dangerous aggression that contradicts all international conventions and principles of peaceful relations between countries in the world," the Iranian diplomat acknowledged.
Commenting on the Syrian developments, Rokenabadi noted that "the situation in Syria is improving."
"Day after day, things are getting better in Syria," the envoy said stating that "Western states' position against Syria is lessening."
"The Islamic Republic's stances are proving to be right; the majority of the Syrian people support Syrian President Bashar al-Assad," he concluded.
