Reiterating Condemnation to UNIFIL’s Attack, Mikati Stresses Lebanon’s Right to Liberate Occupied Lands

In his speech during the opening 31 session of the Council of Arab Social Affairs
"We ask the international community to compel the enemy in respecting international resolutions;" he added stressing that Lebanon "is keen to its right in liberating its occupied lands."
Commenting on the wage salary's decree, the PM emphasized that: "the government's approval of the wage boost is the maximum that the government could do amid the economic and financial circumstances that the country is going through."
"We are aware that the decision does not meet the ambitions of the workers and does not satisfy our objective in guaranteeing a dignified life for the Lebanese but the reality forces us not to take steps that would have negative effects on employees," he added.
Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati reiterated his condemnation of the attack that targeted the French battalion operating in the "UNIFIL" in the pictures.
Pointing out that "the Lebanese government has asked security forces to speed up the investigation to uncover the circumstances of the crime in order to take appropriate decisions," Mikati stressed that "the government was determined to back the cooperation between the Lebanese army and the UNIFIL to carry out the mission".
Ministers in the hotel, he emphasized that "the government is committed to implement the international resolutions, especially Resolution 1701 that "Israel" continues to breach."
