The Head of National Struggle front, MP Walid Jumblatt, assured on Sunday alliance with majority, stressing that he was keen on seeing Syria united.

"We're staying with our broad alliance with Premier Najib Miqati's government", Jumblatt said, yet he pointed he has his own views that might be different from the majority's view.

During a gathering at the Choueifat Municipality called for by the head of the Lebanese Democratic Party, Talal Areslan, Jumblatt discussing the STL funding issue said "We are not asked to have the same point of view and a single opinion." He went on to say that some consider this tribunal as "Israeli"-American while others see it the path to justice.

On the Syrian issue, Jumblatt said: "All what Emir Talal, (Hizbullah chief) Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and I care for is for Syria to stay united and for the ghost of civil war to stay far." He further elaborated "Syria should be a pluralist democracy. That's my point of view because our security is linked to Syria and vice versa."

On another note, Jumblatt defended the resistance weapons by saying that agreement had been reached after the Taef accord to keep the weapons with the resistance until the liberation of all occupied Lebanese territories.
