Rokon Abadi: Syria’s Signature of Protocol A Positive Step

Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai met on Tuesday morning at Bkirki with Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghadanfar Rokn Abadi.
Following the meeting, the Iranian Ambassador described Syrai's signature of the protocol as "a positive step especially that the amendments Syria demanded were met.
He stressed that any country in the region under these circumstances, particularly in Syria should solve its problems between the people and the regime.

Abadi added "the meeting with Rai tackled latest developments on the regional and international scenes, in addition to the bilateral ties between Lebanon and Iran".
The Ambassador pointed out that the aim of his visit to Bkirki was also to discuss the Islamic-Christian dialogue conference which would be held on the 17th of January, in the participation of delegations from Middle East countries and North Africa.
