Suleiman Visits South

Lebanese President Michel Suleiman visited Thursday the Lebanese army and UNIFIL commands in the South.
Suleiman, accompanied by Defense Minister Fayez Ghosn and Lebanese army commander General Jean Kahwaji also visited the French UNIFIL battalion in the Southern village Deir Kifa.
On December 9, a bomb struck a French UN peacekeeping patrol in South Lebanon's Tyre, wounding five soldiers in the attack.
The Presidents tour to Southern Lebanon came as an annual visit at the end of each year to congratulate the Lebanese army and UNIFIL on the occasion of glorious Holidays.
