Wahhab: Axis of Resistance Will Not Abandon Syria

Head of Arab Unification party former Minister Wiam Wahhab believed that Lebanon has paid the price of terrorism with the martyrdom of army members. According to Wahhab, this confirms the possibility of al-Qaida's affiliation in Lebanon, in presence of the paralyzed political situation.
He added that al-Qaida is the one that sent the suicide bombers to conduct the explosions in Syria, because Hizbullah and Hamas send self-sacrifice martyrs to confront "Israel".
In a televised interview, Wahhab noted that Minister of Defense Fayez Ghoson has heard reports from security apparatuses indicating that there are people sneaking into Syria.
He stressed that he tried in person to clarify the issue with security officials, and it was revealed that there are some sides sneaking into the Syrian territories.
He confirmed that "There are no headquarters for al-Qaida in Lebanon, but there are members who sneaked into Iraq and Afghanistan".
Wahhab accused the US-ruled Islamists of conducting explosions in different countries, especially Iraq, Afghanistan, and Nigeria.
Moreover, Wahhab iterated that the US powers seek the death of President Bashar al-Assad and his country, and not reform. "It has become clear that the opposition only wants foreign interference in Syria in order to destroy it", he stated. He also noted that "President al-Assad is incapable of halting the events occurring in some Syrian areas and to confront the armed terrorist, out of fear over the people's safety".
"If the west decides to launch war against Syria, it will for sure be an open war, because the axis of resistance will not leave Syria alone", Wahhab reiterated.
"There are 2000 martyrs from the Arab Syrian Army, and the military preparations to confront the armed people in the country are clear in many Syrian regions", Minister Wahhab also added.
