Rebels Reject Annan’s Plan, Syria Asks for Guarantees
The Syrian crisis awaits the last day's developments ahead of the supposed hour for halting the military operations.
Meanwhile, the rejection of the armed opposition to UN envoy Kofi Annan's plan governed the scene as diplomatic circles rush in racing escalation.

The Chief of the so-called "Free Syrian Army" Riad al-Asaad described Annan's plan as "doomed".
"The regime will not implement this plan. This plan will fail," he told Reuters.
In contrary, Qassem Saad al-Deen, spokesman for the joint command of the "FSA" inside Syria, said "the rebels would respect the deadline to cease fire."
"We will commit to the deadline even if they (government forces) do not pull back, we will cease fire as we have pledged to the UN," he said.
Hours before, Damascus announced that Annan's speeches were wrongly interpreted at the UN Security Council as Syria hasn't pledged to withdraw troops from cities on April 10th especially that "Annan has not offered written guarantees to the Syrian government that the armed groups agreed to stop violence."
In its Sunday statement, the Syrian foreign Ministry stressed also that "Annan didn't offer guarantees that Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey will commit to stop funding and arming terrorist groups."
The statement stressed that "Syria won't repeat what happened during the Arab monitors' mission when it committed to pulling out troops from cities, which the armed groups used for reorganizing and arming their members and took over whole neighborhoods, which prompted the Syrian armed forces to interfere in response to appeals by citizens."
"Damascus is ready to continue cooperation with Annan to implement his plan and will inform him of the undertaken steps in the hope of obtaining the aforementioned guarantees," the ministry added.
In parallel, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Moallem is set to visit Russia on Monday accompanied by an official delegation.
The minister is scheduled to hold talks with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on boosting bilateral relations and developments related to the mission of Annan.
