A well informed source in the People's Committees of Damascus' Sayyeda Zainab's region informed al-Intiqad that around 45 terrorists were killed in the region.
According to the information, the terrorists were killed Wednesday in a bomb explosion inside a car at Hojayra area.
"They were preparing to bomb the car near the Holy shrine," the sources revealed.
In parallel, al-Intiqad sources denied the rumors of a bomb explosion near as-Safir hotel located in the area.
It is worth mentioning that Sayyeda region had been the target of successive attacks and bombings carried out by armed groups coming from Yelda, Hojayra, and Hajr Aswad areas.
Moreover, the region witnessed mortar shelling that led to the fall of dozens of martyrs and wounded among civilians.
Meanwhile, the Yarmouk Palestinian refugee camp has been the target of continuous shelling for the fourth consecutive day.
However, Wednesday witnessed the most violent shelling.
As armed groups try to infiltrate into the camp, the People's Committees present in the camp still repel and prevent them from achieving their purpose.
This comes as the armed groups targeted Mazzeh 86 neighborhood in Damascus with mortar shells, killing and injuring a number of citizens.
