‘Israeli' troops have killed three Palestinian militants in the northern Gaza Strip on Tuesday after fighters attacked a military position near the Erez border crossing with ‘Israel'.
The armed wing of Islamic Jihad and another smaller group claimed in a joint statement to have attacked an ‘Israeli' intelligence post.
An ‘Israeli' army spokesperson confirmed the incident, saying that the three militants tried to launch an attack near the border before aerial and ground strikes killed them.
With this, the number of Palestinians, most of them Gaza militants, killed since ‘Israel' and the Palestinians revived formal peace talks under U.S. auspices in November, has risen to at least 433.
