A speech by Hezbollah Secretary General His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem on the first martyrdom anniversary of the former Iranian President Ayatollah Ebrahim Raisi and his comrades, in which he spoke about the martyr's virtues and his support for the resistance.
Sheikh Qassem affirmed that the Islamic Resistance is honored to be on the frontlines of dignity; the front of resistance alongside Palestine, Lebanon, Islamic Iran, and all honorable resistance movements in the region.
Speaking on the occasion of the first martyrdom anniversary of the former Iranian President Ayatollah Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and their comrades, Sheikh Qassem said, “This path is one of sacrifice. We honor this great man who held sensitive and critical positions throughout his life."
He went on saying, "In all of these roles, Ayatollah Raisi remained the same," noting that “the martyr consistently asked about the resistance in the region and its leader, the Master of the Martyrs of the Nation, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. He was always keen on the details.”
Sheikh Qassem emphasized that "the Martyr Sayyed Raisi was a great asset to Iran, and Palestine was always in his heart," explaining that "his work was the fruit of Imam Khomeini’s seeds under the leadership of Imam Khamenei."
He further added, “Sayyed Raisi was one of the most significant figures in supporting the resistance in Lebanon."
Concluding his speech, Sheikh Qassem said, “We will not be honored unless we are on frontlines of dignity; the front of resistance alongside Palestine, Lebanon, Islamic Iran, and all honorable resistance movements in the region.”
