Hizbullah issued a statement on Sunday responding to allegations published by the German magazine Der Spiegel and broadcast by Al-Arabiyya Channel constituting of talk allegedly traced beck to sources close to the International Tribunal charging what it called ‘Hizbullah sides' of assassinating Premier Rafik Hariri.
The statement added, "It is not the first time that a magazine or newspaper aimed at publishing such fabrications and previously Kuwaiti paper "Al-Siyasa" has repeatedly published such reports along with other dailies.
It is nothing more than police fabrications cooked in the same black rooms that have been keen on fabricating such stories for over four years regarding the Syrians and the four Lebanese officers and others issues. The publication in Der Spiegel and its consecutive propagandization by Alarabiyah channel known for its views is a suspicious matter in its timing and political-psychological employment in two aspects mainly:
First: It aims at affecting the electoral mood in Lebanon
Second: Overshadowing the news and arrests of the ‘Israeli' spy networks in Lebanon
Third: The publication of these accusations and devises added to tracing them back to sources close to the International Tribunal harms the credibility and proper procedures of the IT, necessitating that the IT take strict clear measures in the right of those who published such vile allegations.
Hizbullah places this article and its consecutive employments in the frame of the vile studied campaign which some parties adopt with the aim of harming Hizbullah's role and position. Thus, Hizbullah is certain that these parties will fail in fulfilling any inauspicious objectives as they have failed before.
