United Nations Secretary General Special Envoy to Lebanon Michael Williams UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon said that he hoped that the Lebanese cabinet would implement UNSCR 1701.
Following a meeting with Labor Minister Mohammad Fneish on Thursday, he urged Hizbullah to work with all the parties to form the cabinet as soon as possible,"because this falls in the interests of the Lebanese people and the region."
He said, "The United Nations is relieved by the calm rhetoric that preceded the elections, and by Hizbullah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah's speech after the announcement of that followed the elections (or else we have to say the announcement of the election results) , in which he talked about accepting its outcome."
Williams discussed with Fneish the "Israeli" espionage networks, and said that all the information on this issue would be included in the report that he would present at the end of the month.
