"Israeli" strike martyrs 3 Palestinians in Gaza
Source: alalam,ir, 14-01-2008
GAZA CITY -Three Palestinians, including the local head of an armed group, were martyred in an "Israeli" airstrike on a refugee camp of Gaza City late Sunday, medics and security sources said.
They said an air-to-ground missile struck their car in Shati camp, martyring Nidal al-Amudi, a head of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, which is loosely linked to the Fatah group.
Maher al-Mabhuh, belonging to another group, was also martyred along with a third resistance fighter who died of his injuries.
A military spokesman of the "Israeli" occupying regime confirmed the raid, without specifying what type of aircraft was used.
Earlier on Sunday, eight mortar shells crashed onto Netiv Haassara illegal settlement on the Gaza border, without causing casualties, the spokesman told France's AFP news agency.
Occupying forces did not launch any military operations in Gaza during the visit of US President George W. Bush, who toured Occupied Palestine and the West Bank last Wednesday to Friday.
