Hizbullah Delegation Visits Al-Mufti Stressing Unity

A delegation of Hizbullah Political Council headed by its President His Eminence Sayyed Ibrahim Amin al-Sayyed visited the Grand Mufti Sheikh Mohammed Rashid Qabbani in Dar al-Fatwa.
In a statement following the meeting, His Eminence announced that "the meeting dealt with issues concerning the interests of the homeland, the nation, and the dangerous threats surrounding Lebanon especially those related to the Zionist enemy and the conspiracies hatched against the region."
Stressing "the need to preserve national constants and the Supreme Islamic and," as-Sayed called "to focus on the unity of the homeland and the nation in the face of these challenges."
In response to a question about whether the meeting falls within the framework of convergence of views with "Future" movement, His Eminence noted that "the visit was not related against any specific party, but comes in the framework of promoting Islamic unity and the unity of the homeland
."
"We are always open to dialogue and any solution that would serve to ease the tensions in Lebanon and avert strife," he assured.
As-Sayyed refused to comment on the Special Tribunal of Lebanon considering that "the indictment was written in international journals and not in the International Tribunal."
