Saheli: STL A Farce, Judiciary To Act on Campaign against Army
The Loyalty to Resistance bloc MP Nawar Saheli said that "the conspiracy against the resistance started since it emerged, and the level of attack reached the ultimate in World War year of 2006."
In his speech during an Iftar banquet, Saheli pointed out that the "the international tribunal is a farce aiming at making Lebanon move into strife."
"This tribunal has nothing to do with all law criteria, there is no international court in the world accepts trials in absentia and false witnesses to be unknown while the most important principle in the Criminal Tribunal is the principle of adversarial trial," the MP explained.
Reiterating that Hizbullah announced from the first day that "the Special Tribunal of Lebanon is politicized," Saheli stressed that "the judgment was leaked in "Der Spiegel" and "Le Figaro"."
""Israel", which was defeated in Lebanon on 2006, changed its way in dealing with Lebanon by moving to the International Tribunal," he added.
"International Tribunal is a US-"Israeli" weapon targeting all the Lebanese, because it aims at creating sedition and not revealing the truth of the assassination of Prime
Minister Rafik Hariri," the MP acknowledged.
In another context, Saheli noted that "we set "March 14" campaign against Lebanese army by judiciary and military authorities. Those who maintain the freedom, sovereignty and independence are resembled in the Lebanese army and the resistance and the people who embrace the army and the resistance."
