The Lebanese Minister of State for Administrative Affairs Mohammad Fneish said that "what the Syrian regime is facing today results from its position in supporting resistance and opposition movements in the region."

Clarifying that Hizbullah is one of the first advocates of reform and pro-people's movements, Fneish acknowledged that "there is certainly a difference between those who demand reform and those who seek a change in position and role of a regime that we stress that it was and still supports the resistance."

"We condemn the outside blatant and obvious interference in Syria's internal affairs that does not seek people's interests in Syria and wants neither reforms nor democracy," the minister stressed in an Iftar banquet.

"This interference is interested only in punishing the Syrian leadership and extorting the regime to make political concessions related to the conflict with "Israel" or US interests," he explained.

On the campaign against Lebanese army, Fneish criticized the verbal attacks on the Lebanese army "which is the guarantee of civil peace in this country, and participated with the resistance in confronting the "Israeli" aggression and maintaining security."

"Those who attempt to threat the army by using sectarian fanaticism to affect the army's unity will certainly fail because such calls reflect only ignorance, hatred and intolerance," Fneish emphasized.

Pointing out that "some Lebanese lend themselves to be part of the US-Zionist campaign on the resistance," Fneish reiterated "the importance of the "army, people, and resistance" equation."
