Lahoud: ’’March 14’’ Suffering Schizophrenia, Patriarch’s Positions Reveal Courage
Former MP Emile Lahoud expressed his surprise on the campaign against the Maronite Patriarch Boutros Bechara al-Rahi launched by "those who had set themselves as protectors and defenders of Bkirki for the past years."
"Those are part of a biased organized campaign against the Patriarch although they used to attack any voice trying to straighten the path of positions stated by the master of this edifice," he added.
In his Monday statement, Lahoud stressed that "March 14" team is suffering schizophrenia as this team isn't ashamed of insulting the First Presidency, after years of claiming its protection although they themselves previously carried insulting and attacking campaign against this post."
Clarifying that ""March 14" doesn't hesitate in launching criticizing organized campaigns against Patriarch that are not free from abusive leaks," the former MP noted that " they used to provide lessons in defending the Maronite Patriarch and almost called prohibition on any critic of this post."
The Patriarch's latest positions of and his reaction to the campaigns against him provide a best evidence of his courage and sharp vision on the Christians fact in Lebanon and the East," he concluded.
