Raad: Leadership’s Awareness, Courage Failed Strife Project and its Tools

Speaking at a memorial service in Sajjad town in the south, Raad argued that the opposition in this country only wants to regain authority and is only interested in unilaterally exercising its control and hegemony over the country.
"We did not force anyone from leaving power but the wrong bets of the opposition and the manner in which they dealt with other political factions have forced their departure from the authority," the MP said.
He added that the doors for their (opposition) return remained open to give them a chance to reconsider their positions.
"But their arrogance and impulsiveness have led the situation to reach this stage and all bridges of communications with the other parties were completely cut off," Raad said.
The MP stressed that Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri, known for his flexibility, wisdom and oversight, came under attack from the opposition and this (action) severed all lines of communication among people in Lebanon.
Also, Raad said that the deterrence power achieved by the consecutive victories of the resistance made the enemy flee from any confrontation. He added that in case we isolate this enemy alone, it will not dare to launch an aggressive war against Lebanon, and therefore comes the loud call for disarming the resistance".
The various methods of disarming the resistance have proved to be futile, and they are only left with attempts of sowing strife, the MP said.
"They have tried to start a fire of incitement through what they call the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, but owing the wisdom, awareness, and courage of our leadership, in collecting and providing documents and evidences necessary to prove otherwise, it failed the STL strife scheme as well as its goals and repercussions. This especially after the tribunal proved to be false." Raad added.
