Mekari: America and “Israel” Knew of Hariri Assassination, Served Their Interests

"I know who killed PM Rafik Hariri but I will not say who," said Lebanese Parliament Speaker Deputy Farid Mekari. In a statement to al-Akhbar newspaper, he reiterated "but I am sure that the American and "Israeli" intelligence knew about such a big scheme in Lebanon, and were behind it."
He noted that what happened serves the interest of "Israel" and the US.
According to the Lebanese daily, Mekari frankly admitted that the phase of "Cedar Revolution" and Saad Hariri control over the government also poured into America's and "Israel's" interests.
Moreover, Mekari considered that the US closing of the "Lebanese Canadian Bank" on charge of supporting the resistance is weird. "I have a long history in opposing the Hizbullah, but the Americans are open, and so they punish their allies."
