Head of "Change and Reform bloc" MP General Michel Aoun stressed that "there is a subversive plot to paralyze the administrative process in the country," considering that "this type of chart is used in some systems to destroy the state's power and prestige."

In his interview with "L'Orient Le Jour" newspaper, Aoun viewed that "no other explanation can be given to some MPs and ministers opposition to the Electricity draft Law."

"The current government has committed in its ministerial statement to complete the electricity Plan and a number of Ministers and the President of the Republic voted in favor of the project during Saad Harir's governmental era," he explained.

On the Special Tribunal for Lebanon funding, Aoun asserted that "payments must be spent by the law. If there is no such law or any written document we will vote against funding."

Noting that "if the Security Council decided to maintain the court under Chapter VII, it would eliminate the role of the government and the people," Aoun added that the "balance of the tribunal is greater by 216 times than the Ministry of Justice needs equipment."

Regarding his defense of the Syrian regime, he clarified that "we are against change that leads extremists to power and we are with the change that brings democracy."

Referring to the reform steps that President Bashar al-Assad is performing towards democracy, Aoun asked "who is going to topple al-Assad? Are the people who are convinced that they are targeted by a foreign plot to do that? Where is the credibility of those who claim their caring to the people's while they forgot all about the interests of the Palestinian people?"
