Rai to Connely: Hizbullah Terrorist in Your Eyes, Lebanese Land Still Under Occupation
As US Ambassador to Lebanon Maura Connelly expressed her country's disappointment with Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai recent statements on resistance's arms and Syria, Rai responded firmly "Hizbullah is a terrorist party in your eyes."
"It's true that Hizbullah possesses arms, but some Lebanese land is still under occupation."
"As-Safir" Lebanese daily quoted Rai as saying "the occupation must come to an end."
"If only the international community and the United States would help Lebanon and
hold "Israel" accountable in implementing international resolutions, they wouldn't have a problem called Hizbullah's weapons," the Patriarch noted.
