Sheikh Qassem: US Meddles in Lebanon to Serve “Israel”, Lebanese Political Path Achieves Successes
Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem received on Tuesday a delegation from the Federation of Popular Leagues and Committees headed by Maan Bashour.
On his part, Sheikh Naim Qassem affirmed that the US is keen to meddle in Lebanon and the region in order to make it easier for "Israel", to serve it, and to turn away eyes from the internal "Israeli" crises.
"The US is confused by the stability in Lebanon, where the power equation: resistance, army, and people boosts the interest of Lebanon's protection and independence. The US is stunned by the huge political dependency on the national unity, making it hard to target Lebanon's immunity and its government's performance", Sheikh Qassem affirmed.
He further added, "Our political path is achieving escalating successes, and is protecting Lebanon from the schemes plotted against the region."
"We should make use of the special stability achieved through these right policies", Deputy Secretary General noted.
Moreover, both sides discussed many local and regional issues, and cited the recent visit of Lebanon's Patriarch Bshara al-Rai to the south region, which came as a sincere expression for the national notions aiming at uniting the Lebanese people despite their different sects and residential areas.
In this context, the delegation questioned the stance of those who do not believe in diversity, but believe that those who contradict their opinions are enemies and foes. Furthermore, the Federation of Popular Leagues and Committees delegation denounced the campaign launched against Syria because it supports the resistance and it stands against the colonialist schemes and US-West orders.
On the governmental level, the delegation expressed content regarding the government's performance, which has proven it's concerned with the issues of the people, first of which is the electricity dilemma. The parties in the meeting called upon the officials to continue in their quest to achieve national services through accelerating discussions on the national oil file.
