Jordanian Spy Arrested in Beirut

The Lebanese Directorate General of General Security succeded in arresting about a week ago a Jordanian national suspected of gathering information on Director General of General Security Major General Abbas Ibrahim.
According to "al-Akhbar" Lebanese newspapers sources, the suspect was transferred following investigations to the Military Court, which charged him with entering into contact with a foreign state, a crime under Lebanese law.
"The suspect provided his handlers with information on Ibrahim's place of residence, movements and arrival times at the Directorate General," the paper stated.

"During the investigation, the jordanian spy admitted that he works for the intelligence services of a state considered to be a friend of Lebanon, and that intelligence officials in this state tasked him with gathering the maximum of information on Ibrahim.
